I really want to like SiSi. The location is great, the food is delicious, but the service and overall operation was questionable.
The atmosphere: was great being right on the water. Sitting outside at sunset is a must. The music, on the other hand, had a party vibe, which didn’t quite fit the style I would expect.
The staff: were friendly but the service was not good. For my party, we didn’t have issues, but multiple tables around us did. For a restaurant that charges a high price, it is expected that everything is available on the menu. Typically, specials will sell out, but on the night I went 4-5 main dishes sold out, leaving some tables questioning why they came. I understand selling out of one or two dishes, but certainly not what seemed like half the menu.
The food: was delicious. The meze appetizer was really good, but $49 for a cold plate of dips is a steep price. The chicken was tasty, but the short ribs really were the highlight of the meal. The tenderness of the beef and the amazing sauce were a great combo.
Like I said, I wanted to like this place, but the service and wait times were a bit too ridiculous.
Great food and good location. Awful service, manager dismissed me completely, we had a 7 month pregnant woman in our party, got there on time and made us wait standing up 35 min for our table, once we got it, there was no a/c in that area, ordered a Don Julio 70 and got it on a plastic cup!! Don’t go to “high end “ restaurants to be treated that way.
On the other hand, nice location and good (somewhat pricey) food.
Food was okay nothing special. Service was great, professional and attentive, beautiful view and decorations just a bit too loud for anyone rather have a more intimate conversation.
Went to Si Si’s last Sunday for brunch. What a vibe!! Music was soft when they opened at 11:30 but by 1 pm, you struggled to hear the person next to you, that’s how loud it got. Ambulance was right on point. It’s on the water and simply beautiful. White and bright.. Service was 10/10! It’s obvious there was some serious training that took place! Food was good.. Usually avocado toast comes with eggs. Theirs didn’t, you had to ask for a side order and they charged .. So my avocado toast w/ eggs was $32. Greek salad and whipped feta were excellent! The Mediterranean salad was pretty disappointing. Presentation was nice but it was more like filler food.. underwhelming potato salad, regular scrambled eggs..(Hubby got a chicken ka-bob and said it was just ok.. (sorry, forgot to take pics) That being said, I will definitely come back.. I’m more about the ambiance and the vibe than the food. It’s one of the prettiest restaurants I’ve ever been to! Give it a try!
HORRENDOUS.
Service was condescending, wouldn’t put orders in. Table wasn’t cleared after the meal. No decency of even refilling glasses of water.
You would think a place that charges 25 dollars a cocktail would be able to get the little things right.
Extremely disappointed. Multiple tables left abruptly during our meal and rightfully so. Any time we had a question we were given the response “Welcome to the Hamptons”
Don’t waste your time here
If you want to go to a club to eat, then this is your spot. Get a table for 9:30 like we did, they won’t seat you til close to 10 even if you show up over an hour early… and the music will be so loud that you can only talk to the person directly next to you. That was our experience on Saturday night. The waiter was literally shouting to us because it was so loud. That was probably the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. The food was decent. Nothing inventive or deep or layered, but good enough flavor and cooked well. Except for my side of broccoli rabe. That came out cold, not even room temp. Just cold. Super overpriced for what we got. People clearly go for the view and the “scene”. And some people look for that in a restaurant. Not me I guess.
I’ve been to Si Si many times, and the food is constantly amazing. The restaurant is beautiful and right on the water, so for sure one of my fav places during the warm months. We just went last weekend as they are opening for the season, and here is my take: the food is still spectacular. We had to wait about 30-40 minutes to be seated after our reservation time, so not ideal, but we managed to enjoy ourselves. We sat around their beautiful bar area and had a couple of drinks (their cocktail menu is great!). The staff was incredibly attentive and you can tell they are being well trained for the start of the season. There was a live DJ playing music you would hear in Mykonos, so great ambiance. The appetizers were amazing, absolutely cooked to perfection and very fresh. Our entrees were equally delicious - there were 4 of us and everyone loved what they ordered. The only part of the meal that I was not crazy about was the dessert - we ordered sorbets (delicious) but the sticky toffee pudding was on the dry side and basically tasteless. Otherwise, everything was great!
I have read bad reviews about this restaurant from 9 months ago, but if you’re reading this, I would certainly give it another shot. I’ve been there many times (on and off season as they are re-opening) and they seem to be working hard at making sure everything is perfect.
First time coming to this restaurant and wow where to even start, the ambiance is amazing beautiful open space well lit, right by the water side where you can see the sunrise and you can see the sunset. As for the food fresh delicious and …
